Hotel Front Desk Associate

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Clerk to join our team at HI Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process group arrivals and departures.
- Room Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Customer Communication: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, and respond to guest inquiries and concerns.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, and assist with special requests.
- Technology: Utilize multi-line switchboard, word processing software, and central reservation systems to manage front desk operations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a hospitality or customer service role.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
As a Front Desk Clerk at HI Port Hawkesbury, you will work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, interacting with guests and colleagues daily. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a team-oriented setting.
