We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team at 3051939 Nova Scotia Ltd. o/a HI Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping staff and ensuring that our hotel rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure that our housekeeping staff has everything they need to perform their duties.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to ensure that our high standards of cleanliness and quality are met.
- Customer Service: Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all local health and sanitation regulations are met and that our housekeeping practices are in compliance with industry standards.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a housekeeping or hospitality role
- Work Setting: 50 - 100 rooms in a hotel, motel, or resort setting
- Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking; attention to detail required
- Client Focus: Strong focus on providing excellent guest service and ensuring that our guests have a positive experience
- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with others, including staff, management, and guests
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
