Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Clerk to join our team at HI Port Hawkesbury. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process group arrivals and departures.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage room reservations, take cancellations and changes, and maintain an inventory of vacancies and room assignments.
  • Customer Service: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, answer guest inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties, such as faxing, filing, and photocopying, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication: Answer telephones, relay messages, and contact guests to deliver wake-up calls.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a hospitality industry setting.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualities
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate records and ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Communication Skills: Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest issues effectively.
