Position Overview:

Hazelview is seeking an Associate in Investor Relations and Account Management to collaborate with and support the Investor Relations and Client Portfolio Management team. This role encompasses account management duties and general administrative support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and analytical abilities, along with a proactive approach to work, whether independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and deliver ongoing reporting requirements for Hazelview accounts.
  • Facilitate corporate actions and trade settlements (subscriptions, redemptions, capital draws, distributions, etc.).
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new clients/accounts (Investor KYC / AML, new fund launches, etc.).
  • Manage relationships with third-party administrators (transfer agents, shareholder record keeping, etc.).
  • Address client inquiries and provide support to relationship managers, sales, and client portfolio management teams as needed.
  • Foster cross-departmental relationships (Business Development, Finance & Operations, Real Estate Investment Management, Global Securities).

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services.
  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Possession or pursuit of CFA or CAIA designation, along with completion of the IFSE Institute's Exempt Market Proficiency Course (EMP), is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with trading activities and settlements.
