About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fund Accounting Manager to join our team at MUFG Investor Services. As a key member of our Private Equity Operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of fund accountants, mentoring and supporting them through training and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of fund accountants and provide guidance on fund accounting services, including NAV review and preparation, security pricing, and cash and security position reconciliations.
  • Review and prepare pricing of portfolios, ensuring all holdings are priced in accordance with applicable fund documents and valuation policies.
  • Review and prepare capital call and distribution calculations and allocations.
  • Review and prepare fee schedules, including calculation of management fee and waterfall, ensuring all calculations observe applicable fund documents.
  • Review and prepare investor allocations for each NAV cycle, ensuring capital transactions are booked correctly and P&L is allocated correctly.
  • Review and prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables as defined in the service level agreements.
  • Communicate with internal MUFG teams and external clients, ensuring all deliverables and requests are met.
  • Review and prepare audited financial statements, audit assistance, and other regulatory services, as applicable.
  • Review client Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), PPMs, and other materials and ensure service levels are in line with such legal documents.

Requirements

  • University degree or professional designation such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fund administration role, with at least 2 years working in a private equity role.
  • Experience working on a private equity accounting system, preferably Investran.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity structures, regulatory requirements, and waterfall calculations.
  • Experience reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements and OM's.
  • Experience in supervisory skills and/or coaching/mentoring.
