Position Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Senior Principal to enhance our Private Equity division. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role involves managing IMCO's global Private Equity portfolio. The Senior Principal will take on a leadership position, focusing on strategy formulation, deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio oversight.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the entire investment process, including the analysis and evaluation of new direct investments, co-investments, and fund commitments.
  • Drive strategic projects within Private Equity and contribute to broader IMCO initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members while leading recruitment efforts.
  • Engage with various internal and external stakeholders and advisors in a leadership capacity.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of the private equity market landscape.
  • Formulate investment recommendations based on thorough due diligence findings and lead discussions with the investment committee.
  • Execute and monitor private equity investments, including:
    • Developing investment memorandums, financial models, and other essential reports.
    • Leading negotiations and execution of agreements and transaction-related documents.
    • Overseeing multiple due diligence processes.
    • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including General Partners and advisors.
    • Monitoring the financial and operational performance of portfolio investments.
  • Build and utilize relationships with General Partners, management teams, and advisors to gather market insights and capitalize on new investment opportunities.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A university degree in Business or a related field; CFA designation, MBA, LLB, or similar qualifications are preferred.
  • Over 12 years of experience in investment management, with at least 6-8 years in direct Private Equity, demonstrating significant transaction experience.
  • Proven experience in leading investment processes, conducting due diligence, arranging debt financing, and negotiating documentation.
  • A successful track record of making sound investment decisions.
  • Extensive relationship management experience, particularly with portfolio companies and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, along with outstanding presentation abilities.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
  • Strategic thinking and creativity are essential.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to adapt, take initiative, and work independently while being creative.
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure.
  • A collaborative spirit that thrives in a high-performance culture.
