Role Overview

Reporting to the Associate Director of Client Operations, you will play a pivotal role in managing a team of fund accountants. Your responsibilities will encompass providing comprehensive fund accounting services to private equity clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of fund accountants, fostering their professional development through training and guidance.
  • Deliver a full spectrum of fund accounting services, including NAV review and preparation, accrual analysis, security pricing, cash and security position reconciliations, and capital call/distribution calculations.
  • Ensure accurate portfolio pricing, adhering to applicable fund documents and valuation policies.
  • Prepare fee schedules, including management fees and waterfall calculations, ensuring compliance with fund agreements.
  • Review investor allocations for each NAV cycle, verifying the accuracy of capital transactions and profit/loss allocation.
  • Prepare comprehensive NAV packages and ad hoc deliverables as outlined in service level agreements.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal MUFG teams and external clients to ensure timely delivery of all requests and deliverables.
  • Review audited financial statements, provide audit assistance, and manage other regulatory services as required.
  • Analyze client Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), offering memoranda (OMs), and other relevant documents to ensure service levels align with legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • A university degree or professional designation such as ACCA, CPA, CMA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a fund administration role, with at least 2 years specializing in private equity accounting.
  • Proven experience working on a private equity accounting system, preferably Investran.
  • In-depth knowledge of private equity structures, regulatory frameworks, and waterfall calculations.
  • Experience reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs) and offering memoranda (OMs).
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills and experience in coaching or mentoring team members.
