OMERS Private Equity ("OPE") manages a $10 billion evergreen fund, making direct investments on behalf of OMERS. Key Responsibilities:
Investment Evaluation and Execution:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to evaluate new investment opportunities, including industry studies, competitor assessments, and financial modeling.
- Develop comprehensive financial models that reflect a company's historical and projected performance.
- Prepare detailed commercial and operational due diligence.
- Assess potential financial returns and risks associated with new investments.
- Create internal investment presentations for decision-making purposes.
Portfolio Management:
- Analyze the operational and financial performance of existing portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with management to explore and execute strategic acquisitions.
- Assist in managing capital structures, including debt refinancing and tax planning.
- Conduct financial reporting to support informed decision-making.
- Engage in ad hoc operational projects in collaboration with management.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Finance.
- Previous internship experience in investment banking, equity research, management consulting, or private equity is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
