In this role, reporting to the Associate Director of Client Operations, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a team of fund accountants, providing mentorship and support through their professional development.
- Delivering a comprehensive suite of fund accounting services to private equity clients, which encompasses NAV review and preparation, accruals assessment, security pricing, and cash and security position reconciliations.
- Conducting thorough reviews and preparations of portfolio pricing, ensuring all holdings are valued in accordance with the relevant fund documents and valuation policies.
- Managing the review and preparation of capital call and distribution calculations and allocations.
- Overseeing the review and preparation of fee schedules, including management fee calculations and waterfall distributions, ensuring compliance with applicable fund documents.
- Reviewing and preparing investor allocations for each NAV cycle, ensuring accurate booking of capital transactions and proper P&L allocation.
- Preparing NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables as stipulated in service level agreements.
- Handling additional ad hoc requests and projects as they arise.
- Facilitating communication with internal MUFG teams and external clients to ensure all deliverables and requests are fulfilled.
- Reviewing and preparing audited financial statements, providing audit assistance, and delivering other regulatory services as required.
- Examining client Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs), Private Placement Memorandums (PPMs), and other relevant materials to ensure service levels align with these legal documents.
Minimum Requirements:
- A university degree or a professional designation such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc., is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Fund Administration role, with at least 2 years in a Private Equity capacity.
- Proficiency in a Private Equity accounting system, preferably Investran.
- Strong understanding of Private Equity structures, regulatory requirements, and waterfall calculations.
- Experience in reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements and Offering Memorandums.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and experience in coaching or mentoring.
