Insight Enterprises - Partner Relations Manager

Position Overview

The Partner Relations Manager is responsible for establishing, nurturing, and sustaining effective partnerships with IT vendors and internal teams. This role requires a strategic approach to negotiations, ensuring optimal value in products and services that align with the company's operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and cultivate productive relationships with technology vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate advantageous terms for products and services to support business operations.
  • Exhibit expertise in supplier management and relationship building.
  • Introduce innovative offerings that align with category strategies.
  • Effectively present proposals and secure funding from partners.
  • Lead collaborative efforts across departments on strategic initiatives.
  • Employ creative problem-solving skills and deliver compelling presentations.
  • Maintain a positive, self-motivated attitude while being driven by a passion for technology.

Performance Metrics

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive business plan for assigned partners.
  • Collaborate with vendors and sales teams to create solutions that meet market demands.
  • Analyze and report on sales performance, margins, vendor reimbursements, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Conduct quarterly evaluations of business governance and drive competitive initiatives.

Investment Management

  • Promote the company's value proposition and marketing initiatives to partners.
  • Establish partner-specific priorities and secure approvals for marketing development fund (MDF) investments.
  • Oversee the MDF program, ensuring timely financial transactions.
  • Provide management with monthly reports on financial benefits and performance metrics.
  • Recommend promotional pricing and special purchasing opportunities.

Training and Development

  • Facilitate training sessions on new product introductions and continuously enhance training materials.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in partner or supplier management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in e-commerce or B2B distribution is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a solid understanding of performance metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with bilingual proficiency being a significant asset.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting, primarily involving computer work. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required, along with potential travel.
