As part of our Resource Development team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving annual giving and donor relations. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ambitious goal of serving over 100,000 B.C. youth annually.
We acknowledge that our work spans many territories and that our head office resides on the traditional and ancestral unceded shared territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations peoples.
**Responsibilities**
- Managing the Annual Giving portfolio.
- Planning and executing Annual Giving appeals, including peer to peer campaigns, with a goal of raising over $200,000 annually.
- Building and managing a portfolio of 40-50 donors and prospects at the Leadership level ($1,000-$5,000 range).
- Planning and executing the annual recognition and stewardship plan for all JABC donors, including Individual, Corporate and Foundation donors.
- Preparing personalized correspondence, reports, and updates. This includes ensuring that all materials are delivered promptly and professionally, in collaboration with the Prospect Managers for the different portfolios.
- Preparing donor engagement plans and reports as required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce, including preparing recognition materials for social media.
- Working with the Events, Marketing and Communications team in preparing donor bulletins and quarterly reports for donors.
- Performing other duties as required.
**Qualifications**
- A college or university degree in business, marketing, communications, commerce, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven fundraising experience.
- A genuine passion for advancing education and skill development for youth.
- Proven experience in inbound sales and/or business development.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing proposals, donor solicitations, letters of acknowledgement and donor reports.
- A self-directed and results-oriented mindset, with a track record of effectively tracking progress against goals.
- Experience in organizing and facilitating meetings and events using virtual platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Superior ability to conceptualize, evaluate, and solve problems.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals within an organization.
- A service-minded attitude with a genuine interest in helping others.
- Must reside in the Greater Vancouver area due to the collaborative nature of the work.

**Compensation**
This is a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The starting salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 per annum. Employment offers are determined by knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
This position requires continued exercise of good judgment, tact, and diplomacy, and an understanding of reputational risk linked to organizational integrity.
An offer of employment with JABC is conditional upon the successful completion of reference checks along with a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as required by applicable laws and regulations.
