Key Responsibilities
- HR Operations Support: Provide essential support to HR operations across various client groups under the supervision of the Human Resources Business Partner.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Leave Management: Manage employee leaves of absence (e.g., sick leave, parental leave) while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Accommodations and Safety: Coordinate workplace accommodations in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and company policies, and support the Joint Health and Safety Committee in handling WSIB claims, injury reporting, and workplace safety matters.
- Investigations and Compliance: Assist HR Business Partners with investigations into employee misconduct, harassment, and other sensitive issues, ensuring compliance during the termination process, following legal and organizational guidelines.
- Leadership Development: Provide coaching and mentoring to leaders on leadership development, employee engagement, and conflict resolution, contributing to employee development programs and initiatives aimed at creating a positive and productive work environment.
- HR Projects and Initiatives: Collaborate on HR projects, including policy development, employee engagement programs, and diversity and inclusion initiatives, continuously evaluating and improving HR processes to enhance alignment with organizational goals, efficiency, and compliance.
- Analytics and Insights: Analyze HR data to generate actionable insights and provide recommendations to improve performance and address organizational challenges, developing and preparing materials for HR educational sessions, workshops, and internal communications.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the healthcare or related industry.
- Certifications and Designations: CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) or CHRL (Certified Human Resources Leader) designation, or working towards certification is preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Ontario employment law, including the Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, and other relevant legislation; proven experience with employee relations, performance management, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution; excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, Bayshore HealthCare offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous pension plan and opportunities for professional development and growth.
