Job Overview
The Strategic Shopper Marketing Lead will be responsible for leading the development and execution of shopper marketing plans that drive sales, revenue, and market share growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Brand, eCommerce, and Customer teams, to understand business objectives and translate them into impactful shopper activations.
Main Responsibilities
- Shopper Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive shopper marketing strategies that align with business objectives and drive sales growth.
- Partnering with Teams: Collaborate with Brand, eCommerce, and Customer teams to translate business objectives into high-impact shopper activations.
- Operational Support: Lead key operational vendor relationships to ensure continuous improvement in execution and process efficiencies.
- Leadership and Coaching: Oversee one direct report, providing performance management and formal and informal talent development.
- Capability Development: Support the development and delivery of annual Marketing learning and development programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of CPG food-relevant shopper/retail environments.
- In-depth experience with shopper marketing and omni-channel planning; Brand management or related agency-side experience is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, and people management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with familiarity with Nielsen consumption and key Marketing metrics an asset.
- Previous financial experience, including P&L understanding and budget management.
- Ability to handle ambiguity, multi-task, and work effectively under pressure, sometimes managing conflicting priorities from multiple sources at any given time.
