Job Summary

In a client-driven, recovery-oriented environment, the Front Desk Attendant plays a vital role in promoting restoring health, personal growth, and a return to society for individuals with a mental illness. Under the direction of the Housing Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring the Front Desk/Reception area of the building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and tenants in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure and enforce community rules to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Manage keys and sign-in rosters to maintain accurate records.
  • Interact with tenants and perform security duties, such as monitoring the front door and patrolling the building.
  • Provide building information to clients, including safety systems and guest protocols.
  • Allow safe and timely access and egress to the building.

Required Qualifications

A Grade 12 education or equivalent, a Certificate in Building Service, or a Security Guard Training Certificate from a recognized college or equivalent combination of education, training, and 6 months of experience are required. Upon hire, you must be able to provide or obtain a First Aid Certificate and a Ministry of Justice Criminal Record clearance.
