Job Description

Scotiabank is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Executive Talent Acquisition and Management function.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic leader who can develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition and management strategy aligned with Scotiabank's business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and oversight over talent acquisition, development, performance, and succession planning for VP+ population.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Talent Acquisition: Oversees the development and execution of executive talent acquisition strategy to attract top talent for key roles across the bank; strengthening talent bench.
  2. Talent Development: Provides training and development opportunities to ensure leaders have the skills and competencies required to meet business objectives.
  3. Succession Planning: Identifies and develops future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and rotational assignments.
  4. Performance Management: Develops and implements performance management processes to ensure accountability and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education & Experience: Deep subject matter expertise in leadership development, succession planning, and Executive Search.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of Scotiabank's business strategy and market trends.
