Job Overview:
The Senior Manager, Executive Talent Acquisition is accountable for leading the search and hiring process for executive-level roles across Scotiabank's global footprint. This includes internal and external hiring, in support of the Bank's business strategies and objectives.
This role identifies talent that aligns with Scotiabank's values and behaviours, playing an important role in reinforcing the Bank's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage executive (VP+) talent acquisition across Scotiabank's business lines and corporate/control functions, providing strategic insights and advice by partnering with hiring executives on complex, specialized leadership needs.
- Perform in-depth research to identify passive talent prospects and review and screen candidate applications to present diverse and highly qualified candidate slates.
- Take a proactive, data-driven approach to source and attract executive-level candidates through various channels, building a pipeline of candidates for Scotiabank's executive talent pool.
- Advocate and champion Scotiabank's commitment to diversity and inclusion by practicing inclusive hiring practices.
- Manage escalated and complex issues, ensuring recruitment activities are delivered in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Effectively manage complex compensation negotiations with candidates.
- Lead the end-to-end candidate experience, acting as a point of contact and building influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
- Contribute to the overall success of Talent Strategy, ensuring goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team's overall strategies.
- Support the Talent Strategy globally and in alignment with Scotiabank's vision and Global Human Resources' strategy.
- Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven track record of sourcing and recruiting executive-level talent using research-driven methodologies.
- 5-7 years in an executive recruitment role at complex and/or large companies; executive search firm experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong ability to strategically influence senior leaders.
- Results-oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically.
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business/human resources.
- Knowledge of the Banking industry is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual communication skills in Spanish and/or French is an asset.
