Position Overview

Elevate your culinary career with a leadership role in our esteemed Late-Night food service program. We are seeking a dedicated full-time Sous Chef to manage operations at a prominent educational institution.

In this role, you will report to the Residence Dining Manager while collaborating closely with the Executive Chef. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Late-Night culinary team, ensuring a seamless service experience for our guests. This is an opportunity to foster your professional growth while pursuing your culinary passions.

This full-time leadership position offers a competitive starting hourly wage of $22.00, along with comprehensive health benefits, paid sick leave, accrued vacation time, and additional perks.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the planning, preparation, and delivery of meals within the Late-Night food service program.
  • Act as the primary liaison for guests, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service that contributes to the program's popularity.
  • Ensure compliance with Aramark's safety and quality standards in meal preparation.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment for food storage.
  • Conduct weekly inventory assessments to ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and collaboration.
  • Keep detailed logs of equipment maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Facilitate effective communication among staff members.


Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity, whether as an individual contributor or team leader, is essential.
  • Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with both team members and guests.
  • Availability for late-night and weekend shifts is necessary.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift/push/pull weight as required.
