Job Responsibilities

Area Revenue Manager, Fairmont Pacific Northwest Hotels

In support of Fairmont Waterfront and other properties, the Area Revenue Manager plays a crucial role in maximizing revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Revenue Management, your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with the revenue management team to synchronize strategies across five hotels, collectively managing over 2200 guest rooms. Assisting in the development of long-term strategies with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Revenue Management team. Leading weekly revenue maximization meetings to enhance profitability and manage performance. Participating actively in strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and budgeting processes. Mentoring and training revenue management analysts. Optimizing pricing strategies and stay restrictions based on demand factors across all distribution channels. Guiding sales managers in crafting effective rate offers tailored to the right customers. Working with marketing teams to ensure optimal visibility for various offers. Ensuring cohesive inventory and pricing strategies among cluster properties. Collaborating with the Pacific Northwest Revenue Management team to determine the best business mix based on demand trends. Analyzing competitive pricing and yield strategies to anticipate market reactions. Continuously assessing distribution models and their impact on consumer booking behavior. Coordinating with the brand Distribution team for efficient reservation management. Undertaking special projects to creatively enhance revenue streams. Collaborating with various departments to maintain high guest service standards while maximizing profitability. Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of analytical reports. Staying informed about industry trends and their potential impact on demand. Engaging in ongoing training and professional development. Preparing required reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

Strategic mindset with a proven ability to implement strategies effectively. Proficient in presenting ideas clearly and persuasively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Proven ability to build and lead teams successfully. Independent work ethic and self-motivation are necessary. Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Proficient in automated systems and office software, particularly Excel and Word. Familiarity with revenue management systems and property management tools is advantageous. Previous experience in revenue management or related fields is preferred, with a minimum of two years in a relevant role. A degree in a related field is preferred. Additional Information
