About the Role:

The Area Revenue Manager will play a crucial role in maximizing revenue and profitability for a cluster of luxury hotels in the Pacific Northwest region. Reporting to the Senior Director, Revenue Management, this individual will be responsible for aligning strategies across five hotels to drive business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies to optimize hotel and corporate pricing, stay restrictions, and other tactics to maximize profitability.
  • Chair weekly RevMax and group meetings to drive profitability decisions and manage wash.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure effective exposure for various offers and promotions.
  • Work with the Pacific Northwest Revenue Management team to define optimal business mix based on demand patterns.
  • Track and analyze competitive set pricing and yield strategies to predict market trends.
  • Coordinate with brand Distribution team to ensure efficient delivery of reservations to the Central Reservation System.
  • Complete special projects to identify new revenue streams, including restaurant and spa revenue management.
  • Liaise with Reservations, Front Office, Events, and Sales teams to ensure exceptional guest service while maximizing profit.
  • Prepare accurate and timely analytical reports to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Strategic thinking and proven ability to turn strategy into action.
  • Comfortable in discussion forums and able to present ideas succinctly and convincingly.
  • Proven experience in analysis and problem-solving required.
  • Team building skills and proven track record essential.
  • Self-study and independent work ethics required.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Strong experience in the use of automated systems, PCs, and office products, including Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Fairmont Sales & Property Management automation, including Property Manager, CRS, OXI Interfaces, Passkey, Opera products, and IDeaS revenue management system.
  • Previous experience in Revenue Management is an asset. Minimum of 2 years' experience as Sales Manager, Front Office Manager, or Reservations Manager; or 2 years' experience in a related area.
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
