To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and hands on **Payroll Manager **to join our West Edmonton team.
**_Key Responsibilities_**
- Administer full cycle payroll for multi-company organization (350+ employees) in accordance with existing policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation
- Review paperwork for new employees and ensure employee information is updated into payroll system
- Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and terminations to maintain and update payroll records including administration of employee benefits
- Generate reports to support statistical analysis related to employee time, production, pay and benefits information
- Ensure compliance with CRA, applicable government policies, guidelines and legislation, pension plan requirements are maintained
- Answer employee queries related to payroll matters, tax issues, and benefit plans
- Manage the completion of the bi-weekly payroll, including accounting, benefits, journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate account balances and compliance with all company policies
- Manage the year-end reconciliation processes, government reporting, preparation of annual returns
- Maintain personnel files ensuring all data is accurate and complete
- Manage staff to ensure accurate and timely administration of all payrolls related activities
- Assist with claims management in liaison with Human Resources, Management, Health and Safety.
- Coordinate with each of the multi-companies Human Resource groups supporting the organization. Including assistance with full scope benefit management, company policies and practices and HR initiatives as required

- Professional attitude with exceptional organizational, prioritization, multi-tasking, time management, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
**_Education and Experience_**
- Postsecondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in payroll/human resources
- Professional payroll designation
- Minimum five years full cycle payroll experience
- Knowledge of Alberta Human Rights, Employment Standards, PIPA, WCB legislation and any other relevant legislation
- Experience with payroll software, **Ceridian Dayforce** is an asset
- Advanced Excel skills
