**Manager, Payroll**
Hybrid, Edmonton
**What you'll do**:
- Process and administer employee payroll accurately and timely across multiple states and locations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Utilize payroll software and advanced Excel (pivot tables and Lookups) to input, verify, and reconcile employee payroll data in various locations, including hours worked, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting and benefits and pension management.
- Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.
- Creates and pulls information for reports, GL and tax information.
- Leads and manages a team of payroll staff to provide training and support to team members on payroll processes and software utilization.
**What you'll bring**:
- A minimum of 5 - 7 years of leadership leading a team of payroll professionals and hands-on experience processing hourly, bi-weekly, and bi-monthly payroll.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of payroll principles, laws, taxes, practices, and regulations for Canadian and USA payroll knowledge an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or similar
- CPP designation is an asset
- Current Class 5 driver’s license
