**Job Summary**
- The Science, Information Technology, Engineering (SITE) Co-operative Education program at Dalhousie University is responsible for securing and managing quality work term opportunities for almost 2,000 students annually in 29 Co-op and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs across four faculties and a college. Reporting to the Student Development Manager, the Student Development Coordinator will provide comprehensive, accessible, progressive resources and services for SITE students to assist them in identifying their goals and meeting their needs relative to work readiness, employment opportunities, career experiences and and other aspects associated with student success in work-integrated learning.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Implement, deliver and evaluate key supports for student stakeholders by providing guidance and advice to co-op students on a variety of topics ensuring their success in gaining and maintaining employment opportunities.
- Implement strategies on co-op curriculum and educational programming to support the student’s co-op/WIL experience. Evaluate materials for programming and recommend new programs based on feedback from students and employers, and emerging trends.
- Ensure open communication and education with internal and external stakeholders as an integral part of ongoing promotion and delivery of co-op programs. Work to maintain full support with stakeholders for policy, procedures and overall requirements of the co-op program.
- Support development, implementation and evaluation of programs with the Manager, ensuring that they meet strategic long-term and short-term objectives for the Co-op office.
- Establish and enforce policies for student participation in co-op/WIL by consulting with relevant Faculty co-op advisors and students to ensure opinions and suggestions are taken into consideration.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing or other relevant field, plus approximately one to three years’ relevant experience or more in a comparable client-based setting (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- A certificate in Adult Education, Counseling or Career Counseling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-motivated with the proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint and the demonstrated ability to learn new tools.
