**Job Description**:
The DSU Events Commissioner is responsible for coordinating O-Week outreach, planning, volunteer training, and working as part of a team to lead some of the DSU's most successful and inclusive events.

Duties
- Work alongside the DSU Vice President Student Life in the coordination and execution of various O-Week programming and training
- Planning and co-facilitating O-Week alongside the VPSL
- Plan O-Week Leader training
- Work with the VPSL to chair DSU O-Week Sub-Committee meetings regarding leader training, harm reduction and any others assigned by the VPSL
- Alongside the VPSL sit in the Dalhousie University Risk Management O-Week Sub-Committee
- Work projects such as Orientation Week, DalFest, Pride Week, Frost Week, the Annual General Meeting, and Elections. Duties include event conceptualizing and research, contributing to inter-university working groups, and assisting full-time staff members and elected officials of the DSU to organize and actualize events

Any other duties assigned by the VPSL.Qualifications:

- Must be a current Dalhousie University student
- Supervisor and leadership experience is an asset
- Past participation in DSU O-Week Committee is an asset
- Must be available to work 25- 30 hours per week from December 2023 - April 2024

Pay Rate: $16.00/per hour
