**About the Glenrose Hospital Foundation**

We mobilize resources to accelerate advances in human ability. As the hospital foundation for Alberta’s only stand-alone rehabilitation hospital, we inspire community support to advance rehabilitative medicine. Our priority areas include emerging technologies, innovative equipment and translational research.

**About the role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Research and prepare content for internal and external communications, including developing graphics, photography, and interviews.
- Write and edit materials for the foundation’s website, social media and marketing needs.
- Create event project plans with tasks/logistics; manage costs and meet deadlines.
- Lead event team meetings and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, committee members and vendors to develop programs, promotional materials, key messages/communications, resource plans, sponsorship, source auction items, and other event elements.
- Oversee the execution of events on-site, troubleshoot issues, and ensure staff and volunteers fulfill their roles.
- Complete post-event follow-up and evaluation with participants, reconcile event budgets and complete stewardship and data management activities.

**Competencies and Qualifications**

Education
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in a related field preferred (e.g., communications, marketing, event management). A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Experience
- Planning and executing large fundraising events, including marketing, budget and vendor management and volunteer coordination (2+ years).

Additional Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to concisely and compellingly translate complex information.
- Extensive familiarity and ability with Microsoft Office 365.
- Focused on the details and extremely organized.
- Open and honest approach to working with others, including the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficient in graphic design and photography.
- Satisfactory criminal record check.

**Employment Details**

Hours and Location of Work

This is a full-time, permanent position. Hours of work are typically during the day, Monday - Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends, especially during event periods. This is a hybrid position, where the incumbent is expected to be in-office 1-2 days per week.

Compensation

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including benefits, professional development and generous paid time off. The salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $72,000 annually.
