Required Qualifications
- Valid ON Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of ON
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- ATP packaging experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to give feedback and work well in a team environment.
The responsibilities of the Registered Pharmacy Technician, as instructed by the Pharmacy Manager include but do not limited to:
Preparation:
- Completing final product checks
- Completing product validation checks for automated packaging systems
- Preparing, packaging and dispensing prescription medications after a pharmacist has decided on the appropriateness of therapy
- Abiding by approved prescriptions, duties and responsibilities per relevant College of Pharmacists
- Maintaining safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations
- Completing other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty
Pharmacy Technicians may:
- Educate other healthcare providers about pharmacy related matters
- Train and onboard new Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Assistant employees
- Supervise other staff, including pharmacy assistants
Status: Full time 40 hours a week
Location: Mississauga, ON
Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00 pm (EST)
Required Availability: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
