Full Time Registered TechnicianWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our Central Fill team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of prescription orders for our clients across Canada.
Responsibilities:- Verify drug and prescription orders using computer screens/barcodes and visual means as a regulated pharmacy technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Process drug and prescription orders using automated technology and manual assembly when required.
- Operate computer-automated machinery and related equipment in a continuous production operation to fill and pack drug and prescription orders.
- Perform restocking of automated dispensing systems.
- Examine the quality of product and materials.
- Document all information required, i.e., production and dispensing records, for Quality Control purposes.
- Sort drug and prescription orders to ensure delivery to proper locations.
- Prepare shipping and invoicing documents.
- Assist with inventory control which includes ordering, maintaining, and organizing appropriate inventory and packaging supplies to support dispensing activities.
- Perform receiving and stocking of incoming inventory and supplies.
- Conduct inventory audit counts.
- Assist with the orientation of newly hired pharmacy personnel.
- Assist pharmacists, as needed, to assure productivity and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients at all levels of the organization and business contacts.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as required.
- Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
- Registered Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (please provide OCP License # on your application/resume).
- Work experience as a pharmacy technician/pharmacy assistant
- College Diploma, University Graduate (B.Sc.) or 5-10 years related work experience preferred.
- The ability to plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate operational activities in a complex and busy environment.
- Consistently acts in a professional manner.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
