Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Trillium Health Partners. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of pharmaceutical product preparation and release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver quality patient care and excellent customer service
  • Enhance patient safety by ensuring the accuracy, quality, integrity, and timeliness of pharmaceutical product preparation and release
  • Work in a computerized automated Unit Dose setting, including repackaging and intravenous admixing
  • Collaborate with other Pharmacy Technicians to deliver appropriate teaching to pharmacy students
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize pharmacy operations
Requirements
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)
  • Preceptor training with OCP is an asset
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Technicians (CAPT) is an asset
  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy, preferred
  • Experience with Swisslog automation is an asset
  • Sound working knowledge of computer applications, including EPIC and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in providing exceptional patient-centered care
  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required
