We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our Central Fill Operations team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of prescription orders. You will supervise pharmacy technicians/assistants, collaborate with the pharmacy manager, and uphold strict adherence to provincial and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards of practice, and ethical guidelines.
- Verify drug and prescription orders using computer systems, barcodes, and visual inspection techniques.
- Assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, including order processing, inventory management, and quality assurance programs.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians/assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements:
- A minimum undergraduate degree in Pharmacy with 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Current licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate operational activities.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
