We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Pharmacy Technician to enhance our operations at Onedersquad. The Pharmacy Technician will be instrumental in assisting pharmacists with medication distribution, managing stock levels, and delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational abilities, a strong focus on precision, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily medication cart exchanges for hospitalized patients.
- Oversee the inventory of Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure the proper disposal, destruction, or return of outdated products in accordance with pharmacy regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Prepare pre-packaged medications, including controlled substances.
- Maintain the inventory of Emergency Medication trays.
- Track stock levels, initiate purchasing processes promptly, and comply with relevant legislation and contractual requirements.
- Assess appropriate order quantities based on inventory management principles and available storage capacity.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments, follow up on back orders, and resolve any outstanding issues.
- Conduct thorough medication histories with patients to support medication reconciliation.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Assistant or Technician Program is required.
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Active participation in ongoing professional development.
- 2-3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, PakEdge, Medi dose, and Meditech Expanse is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of proper pharmaceutical handling techniques.
- Experience with pharmacy management software.
- Proficient in pharmaceutical calculations.
- Knowledge of computerized inventory management and control procedures.
- Demonstrated satisfactory employment and attendance record.
