Business Development Manager

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager with knowledge of construction products/services (building products, safety products, and rental tools & equipment) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities. Set up accounts and provide quotes.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored construction and bin rental solutions.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue generation. Execute cold calling strategies when needed to obtain new accounts.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on the latest products and services offered by the company, effectively communicating their value to clients.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal team to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including leads, customer accounts, orders, and billing information
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales or business development. Experience in the construction industry/heavy equipment industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, products, and services, with the ability to articulate technical information to clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to sales, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
