Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our North American sales team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing lead generation programs and nurturing outbound/inbound sales lead campaigns for our K8 & Navigator and SmartDistributor product lines.
This role requires a proactive approach to prospecting, generating, qualifying, processing, and following up on leads and appointment setting for the sales team. You will also be responsible for working with the sales team to focus their efforts on interested companies, contacting prospective customers, researching companies for alignment to KCS requirements, and updating all activity in CRM systems.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to collaborate with the sales, marketing team, and leadership to develop lead generation strategies to generate lead opportunities with prospective customers. This position will also require initiating and participating in new business pitches with the sales team and subject matter experts and owning follow-through with the lead prospect.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish viable opportunities
- Work with the sales team to focus their efforts on interested companies
- Contact prospective customers
- Begin a conversation with the prospective customer
- Research a company beforehand for alignment to KCS requirements
- Follow up on all leads generated by the website and cold calling, update all activity in CRM systems
- Prospecting, generating, qualifying, processing, and following up on leads and appointment setting for the sales team
- Collaborate with the sales, marketing team, and leadership to develop lead generation strategies to generate lead opportunities with prospective customers
- Initiate and participate in new business pitches with the sales team and subject matter experts and own follow-through with the lead prospect
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, proficiency with CRM software, and a general comprehensive knowledge of sales processes and goals. You must also possess excellent communication skills both oral and written and be skilled in 'Selling via Phone' successfully.
Salary:The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
