Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outreach Coordinator to join our team at the City of Lethbridge. As an Outreach Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and connecting them with essential services and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with the unhoused population through regular outreach and engagement activities, working closely with the Lethbridge Police Service and the Watch Program.
  • Conduct assessments of individuals' needs and connect them with relevant services, including housing, health, and social support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, service providers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless referrals and support.
  • Provide education and resources to community members and business owners on outreach services and engagement with vulnerable populations.
  • Document and report on case progress and outcomes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements
  • Two-year diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Volunteer experience working with unhoused populations is an asset.
  • Proven track record in strategic social and/or health delivery case management, including clinical expertise in psychosocial support, addiction, and mental health.
  • Valid Alberta driver's license and vehicle with appropriate insurance for transportation purposes.

  • Competitive hourly rate of $39.88 (under review).
  • 75 hours bi-weekly, Monday to Friday schedule.
