**Job Summary**

The Coordinator, Facilities serves the mission of the YMCA of Lethbridge by providing on-site support to employees, volunteers, and other stakeholders through maintaining the Association’s access and security systems, providing manager on duty coverage, and coordinating facility maintenance and repairs. The main goals of this position are:
1. Ensure the protection of people, property, and premises through Manager on Duty (MOD) coverage.

2. Oversee scheduled maintenance and repairs of the facilities and coordinate with appropriate personnel, while monitoring cleanliness of the facility.

3. Maintain access and security systems for all Association facilities.

**Nature & Scope**

The Coordinator, Facilities will support the Association through incident management as a MOD, completion of facility and security tasks, and supporting the caretaking team. The major responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to:

- Be a YMCA ambassador by engaging in and promoting practices and frameworks which ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety, incident management and emergency response.
- Provide code response and support when on Manager on Duty (MOD) shift which may require communication of policies, guidelines, and procedures to involved parties.
- Ensure code response incident reports are completed and create reports to track types and identify trends of incidents in the facility.
- Recommend measures that could be implemented to limit the amount of incidents taking place.
- Patrol the facility, provide visual security presence, and monitor cleanliness of facility by engaging in preventative surveillance rounds.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, responding to needs or requests, to obtain or supply information with appropriate tact.
- Organizational and Department Management
- Contribute to the completion of administrative duties within Facilities and Security.
- Occasionally carry out tasks requiring significant concentration and the need to assess options or evaluate past practices using analytical methods and processes.
- Model best practices, upholding high standards for excellence in team implementations.
- Maintain access control to all facilities in relation to key and alarm code accesses.
- Review camera footage, access, and request approval, for safety or security incidents.
- Work on somewhat diversified tasks to make progress towards assigned objectives.
- Collaborate and coordinate with facility owners for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of the facility and associated property, supporting Caretaking Attendants with related tasks as needed.
- Monitor equipment to ensure it is clean, in good repair, and safety hazards are identified
- Coordinate with third-party personnel to complete minor project management, ensuring pre-qualification and orientation of third-party personnel is completed.
- Attend all required YMCA trainings and recertifications.

- Participate in Association philanthropic and volunteer initiatives to support the Association’s dedication to philanthropy.
