**Position Details**

**Responsibilities**:

- The Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of the TrainBioData CREATE program. Primary responsibilities include:
- Responding to inquiries from program participants.
- Maintaining the program’s website and ensuring the timely delivery of information.
- Coordinating internships and liaising with academic and industry partners across Canada and internationally.
- Assisting in organizing workshops, weekly seminars, and other program components.
- Providing administrative support, including tracking and approving expenditures according to the budget plan.
- Ensuring compliance with program requirements, including outreach and recruitment initiatives with underrepresented groups (e.g., the Kainai Nation, Indigenous students).
- Supporting the reporting requirements of NSERC.

**Salary**: about $50k / year (condition on budgetary approval)

**Location**: University of Lethbridge
**Start Date**: October or November 2024
**Duration**: One year, with potential to renew**Position Qualifications**

**_Education:_**
- A degree in Business Management/Administration (a degree in Life Sciences may be considered, if there is no suitable applicant with a Business degree).

**_Experience:_**
- At least 3-5 years of administrative experience in an office environment, ideally within an academic or research setting.
- Experience working in Life Sciences.

**_Skills, Abilities & Expertise:_**
- Knowledge of general office procedures and familiarity with university policies and procedures.
- Basic financial management skills, including budget tracking and resource allocation.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with coordinating events, projects, or academic programs is desirable.
- Familiarity with Human Resources principles and practices is considered an asset.
