Job Summary

The City of Lethbridge is seeking a highly skilled Outreach Specialist to join our Community Services Department. As an Outreach Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and connecting them with essential services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the unhoused population through regular patrols and referrals from the Encampment Response Team
  • Conduct assessments of individuals' needs and connect them with relevant services
  • Develop professional relationships with community partners to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Advocate on behalf of participants to meet their service needs

Requirements

  • Two-year diploma or equivalent experience in social work or a related field
  • Volunteer experience working with unhoused populations
  • Proven track record in strategic social and/or health delivery case management
  • Valid Alberta driver's license and vehicle insurance

  • Competitive hourly rate of $39.88
  • 75 hours bi-weekly, Monday to Friday
