Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and garnishments.
  • Set up and maintain employee information in payroll and scheduling software.
  • Audit payroll to ensure data entry accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and process appropriate forms for hourly employees, such as overtime, vacation, and sick pay.
  • Perform year-end payroll reconciliations, including T4 and T4A.
  • Process employee termination documents and calculate final pay.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support with benefit programs and disability claims.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of payroll administration experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification is an asset.
  • Experience working with time and attendance systems, Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and application of Collective Agreements.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • Mostly sitting with some standing and walking.
  • Repetitive motion, close visual acuity required.
