Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team at Fire Safety and Protection. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Development: Proactively seek out new business opportunities by networking and conducting prospecting activities to secure first appointments with existing building owners at the decision maker level.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop risk-mitigation strategies to assist clients in budgeting for lifecycle projects by eliminating costly emergency service calls.
  • Pricing and Sales: Develop and present pricing options for service and planned maintenance agreements and assist in budgeting for future programs.
  • Business Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with the purpose of gaining the client's trust, meeting their objectives, and delivering value-added solutions.
  • Financial Analysis: Build financial and life cycle analysis with our tools, to quantify value from the client's perspective.
  • Proposal Development: Generate and deliver impactful proposals with dynamic professional executive level presentations that lead to signed contracts.
  • Sales Training: Participate in sales and industry training and convert that training to sales results.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate and cooperate with other members of the operations and sales team in the branch location to ensure achievement of customer needs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Beginning or enhancing a common understanding of applicable codes to ensure the success of our life safety programs.
  • Sales Activity Tracking: Track all sales activities in our CRM.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Certifications: Industry certifications like CFAA or NICET a plus, not required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of industry-related sales experience.
  • Technical Skills: Technical experience within one or more of the following: sprinkler, fire alarm, fire extinguisher, suppression systems, security, video, access control, construction, HVAC, or other commercial facilities services or solutions or other service sales direct to end-users.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate and present effectively to groups at all levels, from skilled labor and administrative to executive and owner.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership of customer engagements along with the desire, ability, and skills to manage the entire sales cycle.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build relationships with existing clients to maintain present sales and to facilitate add-on business and services.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with other individuals, departments, and teams.
  • Proposal Writing: Strong ability to write compelling, detailed sales proposals.
  • Organizational Skills: Must be well organized and able to handle multiple proposals and processes simultaneously.
  • Motivation: Motivated to grow professionally, personally, and financially.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as a CRM platform.

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent travel to meet clients or attend meetings. You should have the ability to move around, stand, and walk for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, and transport objects such as presentation materials or product samples safely. Good eyesight is required to read documents, analyze data, and represent information to clients. Normal hearing is required to effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Physical stamina is needed to stay focused and perform the job effectively throughout the day.
