We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Advisor to provide strategic support to our dynamic People & Culture team. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key part in supporting both the administrative and strategic functions of our HR team.

The Role:

">

In this role, you will assist with daily operations, provide guidance to employees and managers, and contribute to ongoing HR initiatives. You will be assigned client groups across Pinchin's regions, as we have offices coast-to-coast across Canada.

Your Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Use knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices to develop, implement and modify HR policies, programs, and procedures.">
  • Provide consistent advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures.">
  • Resolve employee conflicts or issues in a timely and appropriate manner, escalating to the HR Manager when necessary.">
  • Work directly with managers on employee performance management, including annual performance reviews, development plans, disciplinary letters and performance improvement plans, as well as staffing plans and employee development initiatives.">
  • Facilitate proper employee documentation and accurate records in HRIS system (ADP/UKG).">
  • Compile reports to analyze data for key HR metrics and related projects.">
  • Support the HR Manager in implementing talent management programs and special projects.">
  • Conduct investigations relating to HR policy, including health & safety and other workplace incidents.">
  • Facilitate employee offboarding, including performing exit interviews, terminations, preparing separation documents, and managing departure logistics/administration with Finance and IT.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, a CHRP/CPHR designation (active) preferred or in progress.">
  • Minimum 4-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources operations and employee relations.">
  • Motivated to work independently as well as on team projects and initiatives.">
  • Experience working with an HRIS (preferably ADP/UKG).">
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).">
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound reasoning, judgment, and problem-solving skills.">
  • Highly organized, creative, process-oriented, demonstrated leadership skills and strong interpersonal skills.">
  • Strong background in data collection and reporting.">
  • Experience in professional services or consulting is preferred.">
  • Current and valid driver's license with insurance, and access to a vehicle required (work-related travel will be compensated).">
