**POSITION OVERVIEW**

A Multi-tasker and comfortable being the go-to person, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible of the full-cycle of recruitment and on-boarding process. He/She will be in charge of the benefit programs administration, including group insurance program and group RRSP. The HR Generalist will be in charge of keeping track of LOA records, set-up/update employee information in the payroll system. The HR Generalist will be responsible for HR Admin tasks. The HR Generalist will assist the HR Manager in other HR projects/initiatives as needs occur.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- Act as the point of contact for all employees on human resources related issues and requests, such as leave of absence, vacation balance, payroll related issues, etc.
- Create and maintain a thorough recruiting network through different social and online media to generate qualified applicants
- Develop recruitment strategies in conjunction with HR manager to achieve the required staffing levels
- Interview and selects qualified applicants while managing the background verification and new hire orientation process in a manner that promotes a positive experience for the newly hired team member
- Be in charge of employee benefit (Group insurance, group RRSP) administration, including enrollment, changes or termination
- Process data entries for payroll, including new hires, changes, time-off requests, etc.
- Keep records of benefits plan participation such as insurance and RRSP plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations
- Participate quarterly performance management process, monitor the completion status and send out reminders
- Keep track of all HR tasks/activities in a systematic way
- Serve as point of contact for team member inquiries regarding payroll, policies, procedures, and programs
- In charge of submitting all HR service providers' bill payments through internal system and keep track of them
- Fulfil other duties as assigned

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Multi-Tasking, detail oriented and meticulous in treating numbers
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Business acumen, knowledge and professionalism
- Able to interface with all levels of management
- Autonomous, able to work with mínimal remote supervision
- Pragmatic, analytical, good at prioritization and trade-offs
- Knowledge of employment laws of different provinces, such as Ontario, Quebec, BC, etc.
- Experience working in multi-cultural diverse environments preferred
- Energetic, able to work in a fast paced, constant evolving work environment
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin
- Knowledge of French language is an asset

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor degree in human resources, business or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a human resources generalist position, preferably in electronics or physical security industry
- Or 5 years of human resources experience combined with equivalent academic background
