About this role

The Multilingual Human Resources Strategic Partner will be based in Mississauga, reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources. The incumbent's primary goal is to provide internal consulting and support for all Human Resources initiatives and objectives for designated divisions. This includes involvement in business decisions related to talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, administration of compensation and benefits, performance management, learning, and supporting talent acquisition.

The successful candidate will also act as an advisor and business partner to management staff, ensuring effective implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures across all locations.

  • Investigate discrimination and unfair employment practices
  • Manage employment-related legal files from initial stages to resolution, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel
  • Develop and conduct training for managers and employees on various subject matters and soft skills identified as business needs
  • Administer collective bargaining agreement clauses and general union issues and concerns, including negotiation of the collective agreement within company guidelines
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Balance business and people needs while driving standardized processes into facilities
  • Proactively manage employee issues, including leaves, attendance, ethics points, and other employee-related matters requiring HR involvement

Requirements:

  • Experience as an HR generalist or manager serving internal clients with diverse HR matters
  • Proficiency in French and English, with ability to speak, read, and write in both languages
  • Experience working with coworkers or clients in both French and English
  • Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors would be an asset
  • Understanding of P&L principles would be beneficial
  • Background in manufacturing or distribution industry
  • CHRL certification or completion in progress
  • University degree or college diploma
  • Comfortable with frequent travel to Eastern Canada

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
