About The Curry Pot

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled and experienced host/hostess to join our team. As a host/hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front of House Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front of house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Manage the seating and table allocation process to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize wait times.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, preparation methods, and other related topics.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage the front of house cash handling and reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Process customer payments and handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and coordination of orders and service delivery.
    • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in customer service, front of house management, and other related areas.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced restaurant environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
    • Standing for extended periods.
    • Physically demanding role requiring stamina and energy.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the restaurant and customers.
