About The Curry Pot

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team. As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a positive and memorable dining experience.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Front-of-House Operations
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front-of-house team, ensuring seamless service delivery.
    • Schedule staff and manage the front-of-house team to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage financial transactions, including receiving payments from customers and handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available to support front-of-house operations.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery and to address any issues that may arise.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility
    • Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, able to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to maintain a positive attitude in a challenging environment.
Work Environment

The Restaurant Host/Hostess will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires standing for extended periods and may involve physically demanding tasks.

Language

The primary language of communication is English.

Work Hours

The Restaurant Host/Hostess will work 35 hours per week.
