About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Advisor to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert financial advice to clients, helping them achieve their goals and navigate life's complexities.

Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with high-value personal and small business clients, building long-term relationships and delivering tailored solutions that meet their evolving needs. You will collaborate closely with RBC partners to provide comprehensive advice and support, leveraging your expertise in everyday banking, investments, and credit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing proactive, professional advice to clients, taking the time to understand their circumstances, motivators, and concerns.
  • Communicating effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice, and proactively resolve client concerns.
  • Utilizing your own advice capabilities, as well as those of the right partner in the RBC ecosystem, to meet clients' entire suite of financial needs, both personal and business.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e., Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I), or equivalent qualifications.
  • 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.

Prior experience with digital literacy across a broad range of devices is also an asset.
