Vehicle Inspection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Inspection Specialist to join our team at OPENLANE. As an expert in automotive quality assurance, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles on-site at our ADESA Vehicle Logistics Centers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent observational skills, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. They should also be knowledgeable about industry best practices and standards, as well as comfortable using technology such as mobile inspection tools and OBD scanners.
About the Role:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles for signs of wear, tear, neglect, damage, previous repair, or structural damage.
- Complete road tests as needed to assess vehicle performance.
- Utilize industry-leading hardware and software to ensure accurate and efficient inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of industry best practices and standards through initial and continuous training.
- Analyze inspection results to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail throughout the inspection process.
Requirements:
- A strong background in automotive maintenance or inspection is preferred.
- Reliable transportation is essential, as you will be required to travel between inspection sites.
- Willingness to work in an outdoor environment with varying weather conditions is a must.
