About the Role

The Client Services Representative plays a crucial role in working directly with our international customers to provide solutions to their geospatial information requirements. This position requires developing solutions, planning satellite data acquisitions, and ensuring high standards of service and quality are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service for MDA customers, taking and fulfilling orders for MDA satellite data.
  • Offer clients detailed information regarding MDA satellite imagery, applications, products, and services tailored to their needs.
  • Create accurate technical and financial proposals for geospatial data based on customer requirements and prepare confirmed orders for data.
  • Place orders and follow through to successful completion.
  • Develop and implement satellite acquisition plans to optimize satellite resources considering commercial priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with international sales teams on customer needs and provide support to Finance and Network Stations Groups.
  • Assist management in executing major projects.
  • Promote continuous improvements to processes within the department.
  • Represent MDA with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Be available for rotating on-call work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Science, Physics, Earth or Environmental Science, or equivalent field, along with relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral proficiency, as well as technical writing and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude, adaptable to change, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop in-depth knowledge and utilize internal software for order management.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently with some supervision on complex contracts/assignments.
  • Experience in a client services environment is an asset.
  • Proficiency in general computing skills.
  • Programming language skills are an asset.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $48,000 - $65,000, based on qualifications and experience.
