Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at National Bank in Montreal. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to drive business growth and develop strategic relationships with clients.

About the Role

This key leadership position will focus on delivering exceptional client experiences, driving revenue growth, and developing innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients. As a Strategic Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing business strategies to increase cash management revenue with large multinational and domestic corporate entities.
  • Providing expert advice on cash flow management needs to clients across national and international levels.
  • Building strong internal networks within National Bank to ensure seamless collaboration and mobilization of resources.
  • Managing multi-tier strategic clients, supporting Financial Markets client base.
  • Creating visibility for the Bank through promotional activities and representing National Bank as a market leader.
  • Understanding risks inherent in Cash Management products and providing expert advice to clients and internal partners.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
  • Sale-side experience in acquiring new clients, preferably in Capital Markets.
  • Cash Management experience and knowledge of Cash Management products are highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Canadian banking products is required.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is an asset.
  • Well-developed entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated leadership and teamwork.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$150,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. In addition to competitive compensation, you will be eligible for a wide range of benefits, including health and wellness programs, flexible group insurance, pension plan, employee share ownership plan, employee and family assistance program, preferential banking services, opportunities to get involved in community initiatives, telemedicine service, and virtual sleep clinic.
