About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team at Silver Hotel Group. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for executing the sales strategy of our company, ensuring that occupancy, average daily rate, extended stay, and market share goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare proposals and contracts as required by the Regional Director of Sales, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • On behalf of the Regional Director of Sales, create inquiry/prospect booking in Delphi and alternative property booking systems.
  • Handle inquiries and ensure full attention to detail is provided.
  • Prepare corporate negotiated rate agreements and record corporate negotiated rate accounts into Delphi with monthly volume account production.
  • Complete competitive rate shop calls for all required market segments.
  • Maintain full product knowledge of portfolio competitive hotels.
  • Liaise with Brand associates and incoming leads.
  • Prepare site inspection communication and VIP notice to On-Property Sales Executives or appropriate departments for execution.
  • Distribute leads from different platforms/channels to the appropriate Seller.
  • Manage, convert, and distribute Definite business contracts to appropriate hotels.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Manage and convert inbound sales inquiries from all channels and pass new leads developed through contacts to appropriate team members.
  • Assist in implementing promotional projects in assigned market areas to increase sales volume and profitability.
  • Organize sales blitzes by creating targeted lists, cold calls for appointments, set appointments, and map logistics.
  • Assist sellers with registering for trade shows and other related events; organization of flights, hotel accommodations, and/or transportation for out-of-town events.
  • Point of contact for new closed business and in-house bookings, as required.
  • Manage/update Delphi templates.
  • Act in the capacity of Regional Director of Sales in their absence.
  • Prepare and manage department expenses and annual event budgets.
  • Coordinate and perform administrative duties for Silver Hotel Group home office, including purchasing, reimbursements, coordinating home office social calendar, and managing activities.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Regional Director of Sales, VP of Sales & Marketing, or SHG Executive Management.

Requirements:

  • Hospitality experience or comparable sales experience, hotel environment preferred.
  • Proven experience maintaining guest/client relationships.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or Business is a definite asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact in a team environment with several divisions/departments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Hotel Property Management Systems, is an asset.
  • Organized, results-orientated, proven time management skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and objectivity with guests and team members.
  • Interacts/Communicates with guests, the public, and hotel teams. Speaks confidently in public and facilitates presentations.
  • Available to work varying shifts (morning, afternoon, some evening, and weekends may be required), and overtime as required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
