Job Title:Technical Sales and Applications Specialist

Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales achievement in the Greater Toronto Area for a world leader in precision measurement. This role requires significant travel within the sales territory for on-site customer visits. The Sales and Applications Specialist will promote the sale of company products at both distribution and end-user levels, develop and maintain relationships with key contacts, and introduce new technologies to corporate-level customers. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining a database of sales opportunities, enforcing sales policies, and training distribution sales staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present new technologies to corporate-level customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts
  • Promote sales of company products at distribution and end-user levels
  • Follow up on customer requirements regarding repair or applications
  • Travel to customer locations and HQ in Mississauga and Illinois
  • Introduce and promote new products to the industry
  • Perform product demonstrations for customers
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss market strategies
  • Develop lists and target accounts within the region
  • Maintain database of sales opportunities
  • Enforce sales policy
  • Train distribution sales staff

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel within the sales territory
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Technical background an asset
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Background in metrology or measurement systems an asset
  • Background in manufacturing a strong asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle ownership required
