The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly experienced Lighting Sales and Leadership Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of lighting products and technologies, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will be passionate about lighting and have a proven track record of success in sales and leadership roles within the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals within the Eastern region.
  • Lead a team of Account Executives and Inside Sales Representatives to provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Provide technical lighting knowledge to the team and operations staff.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Specify core brands with the architect and design community to achieve design-forward lighting solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and drive business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to clients and senior management.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Open and develop new territories in Ontario, Quebec, and The Maritimes.
  • Travel within the region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct market research.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in B2B sales, with approx. 5 years in a leadership or managerial role within the lighting industry or related sector.
  • Strong understanding of lighting products, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to drive sales growth.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Google Suite an asset.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
