Sr Regional Sales Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business strategies for the Canadian market, including sales team deployment and competitive analysis.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve enhanced performance.
  • Collaborate with key dealers to develop annual joint business plans and conduct regular reviews.
  • Evaluate and adjust the performance of the regional sales team as needed.
  • Hire, develop, and maintain a professional sales staff.
  • Interface with A+D/CRE Directors on overall influencer strategy.
  • Lead market strategy in smaller to mid-size regions, engaging all distribution partners.
  • Collaborate with peers in the Sales Leadership team for best practice sharing.
  • Support team members accountable for budget management, discounting, account planning, and relationship management.
  • Manage within assigned expense budget.
  • Provide timely and accurate regional reporting as required.
  • Utilize Salesforce information to manage an active sales funnel and complete monthly forecasts.
  • Work strategically with business partners within MillerKnoll North America.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of senior sales leadership experience, demonstrating a proven track record of leadership success.
  • 7+ years of successful contract/capital goods selling.
  • Knowledge of the contract interiors industry, services, and culture.

  • Advanced selling skills, e.g., account penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling, consultative selling, negotiation, and contracts.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Business/financial acumen and profit consciousness.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and negotiate.
  • Assertive, self-starter with the self-confidence and ability to represent MillerKnoll professionally.
  • Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, building long-term relationships with customers/partners.
  • Ability to generate, explore, and clarify new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Passion for the sales process with an understanding of its foundations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong emphasis on listening and people management.
  • Demonstrated high personal performance standards and a desire for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication software, and tools used in the MillerKnoll office environment.
